Pack Trips

For the more adventurous people, we will pack your supplies and food into Geertson Lake.

If you enjoy hiking and would like to see some beautiful scenery, this would be an ideal place to explore and spend some quality time with family and friends.  You can drive to a certain point in the road and then take off hiking, which will be approximately 4.5 more miles.  The elevation at the lake is 8600 ft.

There is a BLM shelter (cabin) that sets just below the lake.  The shelter has a wood stove, cooking supplies and a picnic table.  It sleeps 4 in the bottom and has an enclosed loft.  We can reserve the shelter for you and or supply tents if you prefer to sleep under the stars by the open fire pit.

Our reliable mules can safely transport your camping supplies and food into the camp, and when you’re ready to hike back to the real world,  we’ll be there to pack your supplies out.

Enjoy high mountain fishing in Geertson Lake (license required) and brave the cold mountain water for an afternoon dip in the lake.  There are many trails to hike on, an abundance of wildlife to see and beautiful wild flowers to accent the incredible scenery!

 RATES; $60.00 per pack animal, mules can pack approx 120# each. This rate is for each trip into the lake.
